**To prevent the spread of illness, currently ill pets will need to get healthy before they can enjoy our services. All pets must be in good health, flea and tick free, and not be physically aggressive. We have furbabies at home to think of as well as yours and other clients' furbabies.** For our safety we do not and will not care for any aggressive dog(s) or Pit Bulls.**

This is a get to know each other visit. At this time we will collect important information about your furkids & their routines. Go completed forms, get keys & collect payment. This will take 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on your needs & how many pets. We want to make sure you and your pet are acquainted and and comfortable with us. Since each client is different as well as each clients needs are different please contact if you have a special need or request.

Each visit to your home includes:

Pet Care

Fresh food and water.

Playing, exercising, and walking your pet.

Pet mess cleanup (as it happens). Litterbox cleaning.

Brushing and combing. (per your request)

Giving ORAL medications, vitamins, or other previously, prescribed ORAL & topical treatments.

Bringing in your mail, newspapers, and deliveries.

Bring trash to the curb and bring cans back in.

Water your indoor/outdoor plants. (Additional charge for an excessive amount of plants)

Basic security checks -- adjusting lights, drapes, open/close blinds, TV/music, etc.

Custom convenience requests and handling other minor household tasks may add on additional fees.

Pet Sitting Per Visit 1-2 pet Rates (Dogs/Cats/Birds/Fish/Hamster/Gerbils/Rabbits)

For All Pet Services we request a three-hour time window to make our visits.

If you have more than 3 pets you might require additional time on your visit. (We have found homes with 3-4 pets require at least 45 mins)

Last minute services with less than 48 hour notice for new clients & clients with no keys on file (meet & greet required new clients)

& 24 hour notice for current clients with keys on file an additional last minute charge of $10.00 will be added to the total bill.

**Quick Visit are for up to 10 minutes. Pups will be given enough time to at least pee then brought back in. This visit normally does not last more than 15 mins. We make all efforts to make sure the pups do their "business" while outside. (No discounts available on quick visits). We can not guarantee your pup will poop during a quick visit but will make sure they at least pee. Additional pets over 2 will require an additional $2.00 per pet.

**After/Before Hours Visits 9 PM - 7AM

Includes 1-2 pets in home -up to 30 min visit- additional $2.00 per pet per household. These are extended visits beyond our normal pet visiting time frame.

This service includes all pets in your home for bathroom breaks and then feed, water and company within the home.

For the safety of the sitter and your pup Dog walking is not included due to the late or early hour.

We arrive at your home between 9-10PM. We give your pup(s) one last evening potty break. We leave between 7-8 AM and give a morning potty break and feed.

Overnights = $70/day 1-2 pets $5.00 per additional pet per day 10PM-7AM We will stay 9-12 hours in your home

Overnights with early arrival $85/day. $5.00 per additional pet per day over 2.

Early arrival falls between 5-8PM and we will depart between 7-8 AM

Visits between 8AM and 5PM, during overnight stays, are $15 each additional.

If you want us to stay from 8AM-Noon on the day of your return a 1/2 day charge will apply.

Yard scooping an additional discounted fee of $7.00 per day.

If you want us to stay from 8AM-Noon on the day of your return a 1/2 day charge will apply.

This service is for someone that would like their home to be lived in and their pets to be cared for while they are on vacation or even in the process of moving. We will be in your home up to 24 hours a day. We can also House Sit without pets and give your home the "someone is home" look while you are on vacation or trying to sell your home. Service offered 7 days a week. **$5.00 per additional pet per day over 2 pets

Yard scooping an additional discounted fee of $7.00 per day.

Home Security Checks

This service is for those who have no pets, but would like someone to check in on their home while they are away. We can water plants, bring in mail/newspaper, rotate lights, maintain pool water levels, adjust thermostat, etc. If you have special requests feel free to ask!

Pet Taxi /Errand Service

If you are unable to get your pets where they need to be during business hours..we can do it for you! Perfect for trips to the Vet or Groomer! Need some help with your long to-do list? We will pick up dry cleaning, get pet food or treats, make a trip to the post office, etc. Just let us know what you need! Perfect if you need another hand for the holidays.

$20 (30 min. or less), $35 (30-60 min.), $50 (60-90 mins)

What Is A Pet Sitter?

A Pet Sitter is a contracted service provider who takes care of a pet in its own home.

Are you insured and/or bonded? We added a background check for your peace of mind.

We are fully insured with Mourer-Foster Policy. We have decided to get bonded since we feel that it offers an extra sense of security for our clients. We have a background check that you can view on Sittercity that we have passed through LexisNexis. Report # 4779340

Should my pet sitter be bonded?

Bonding is different than insurance. Bonding generally applies only if someone steals from your home, and is convicted of the crime. At that time, the bonding company will reimburse you for the loss, and the pet sitting business will reimburse the bonding company. Such a conviction can take years, and can be difficult to obtain. It is also important to know that many bonds only apply to the employees of a business, and not to the business owner. So bonding is really optional.

Do I meet the sitter before service?

Yes, for most sitters an initial consultation is required before your first service can be provided. This consultation will give the sitter time to learn about your pets, fill out paperwork, take notes about your home and required tasks, and collect keys from you. Many sitters offer the first consultation for free, or will credit any consultation fee to your first visit. If you would like a follow-up consultation at a later date, be aware that there might be an addition fee for this. Please be sure to call far enough in advance to schedule your consultation.

What is daily/daytime dog walking?

Daytime dog walking is pet sitting on a weekly, ongoing basis. A daytime dog walker is usually hired to walk or visit dogs that need a regular break during the busy work day. A dog walker may be scheduled for daily visits or just a few days week, often once or twice a day depending on your work schedule and the needs of the animals. The most common dog walking visits are scheduled for somewhere between 15 and 60 minutes.

What is vacation pet sitting service?

If your pet sitting service provider offers vacation service, that means that the pet sitter is available to visit your pets if you go out of town on a trip, such as on a vacation or a business trip. During this time, a pet sitter will make scheduled visits to your home. Often these are scheduled to start between pre-determined time slots (such as 7am-10am, 1pm-4pm, 6pm-9pm, etc) that will best fit your pets.

How long is a visit?

Each sitter & client will determines what length of visits they feel will be needed (such as 10-15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, etc). Homes with multiple pets will often require longer visits than homes with only one animal. We have found homes with 3 or more pets require at least 45 mins to receive all the benefits of our visit.

How many times a day should my pet sitter visit during a vacation?

The frequency of visits is something you will negotiate with your pet sitter once the pet sitter interviews the situation and determines your needs and wishes. Most indoor only dogs will require a minimum of 3 visits per day (at least morning, afternoon, and evening). Most clients choose once per day, or twice per day for cats. Some sitters will consider every other day visits. Every other day visits are not recommended for large male cats because of potential health problems

Do you make appointments?

Yes, We ask for a three-hour time window to make our visits in. For example, if you wanted a morning and an evening visit, you might request between 7-10 am and 4-7 pm as a time window. We will try to keep them as close to your daily schedule as possible.

How late or early in the day may I schedule a walk for my dog?

Our last visit is scheduled no later than 9 PM, nor earlier than 7 AM. However, If you need a visit between 9PM-6AM there will be a $25.00 charge for 20-30 minute visit for up to 1-2 pets additional pets $2.00 per pet per household.

Will my dog be walked with other dogs??

For the safety and security of your dog, we do not walk your dog with other clients' dogs aka pack walking. Each client gets their own specified walk time where we can focus and care on your furbabies. We will not let the dogs in our custody go up to other dogs, while they are out. This prevents any kind of sudden mishap between them and any transmission of illness or parasite. If you have more than one dog, we will be happy to walk them together as long as it is safe for them and our sitter. We want your pup's walk to be safe and fun. We may consider dog walking groups for smaller dogs for clients looking for their dog to be socialized.

Holiday Fees:

How far in advance should I book your services?

We ask you to book as far in advance as possible to guarantee availability. Often clients book with only 24-48 hours notice, and we are able to accommodate them. We do charge a last minute fee, if non-holiday service is booked with less than 24 hours notice. Any holiday service booked with less than one weeks notice is subject to a last-minute fee as well. We do not over book ourselves, and any last-minute reservations will have to fit into our scheduling. Holiday bookings should be a minimum of 1-2 weeks in advance in order to secure a reservation. Holiday service includes the days surrounding: Thanksgiving & the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day, Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice on all non-holiday cancellations for a refund or credit. Cancellation on non-holiday reservations with less than 24 hours will be charged $10 cancellation fee. Early returns with less than 4 hour notice will be charged the full amount for the next scheduled visit.

Any holiday service requires notice of cancellation at least one week prior to the start of service. Otherwise, we charge 50% of the entire service booked. Once holiday service has begun, we do not give refunds for returning early or cancellations.

For Overnights and Live-In visits cancelled that are scheduled through a holiday require 10 days notice, otherwise 100% of the fees are due.

For Non-Holiday cancellation for Overnights and Live-Ins require 5 day notice, otherwise 50% of the fees are due.

When are payments due and what type of payments do you take?

Payment is always due prior to the time of service. An invoice will be sent to you Quickbooks Online Invoice with the option to pay online through a secure web link or you may pay Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, Discover or Cash/Checks/Money Orders are also accepted in the full amount and should be left for collection on your pet sitter's first visit.

Is it acceptable to tip the sitter?

Gratuities are never expected but always appreciated for exceptional service. 100% of the gratuities go to the sitter performing the service.

Are you trained in Pet First Aid & Pet CPR?

Yes, We completed our training class on Thursday, November 6, 2008. Our instructor was Melissa Knox PTI# 1395

What types of medications can you administer to pets?

We will administer pills, drops, and liquid medication at no extra cost during 30 minute or longer pet sits. We will not administer medication to any animal that poses a danger to our caregivers. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT PETS NEEDING SHOTS..

Will you walk my dog in bad weather?

We will make all attempts to walk your dog(s) in bad weather unless it will put our lives or your dog's life at risk.

(ie: lightening , hail, flooding & icy weather, etc)

Is the information I provide you kept confidential?

Yes! We do not disclose client information of any kind to third parties. All client information is protected by Shadow & Marty's Pet Care Services and accessed/utilized only in such a manner as to be able to fulfill our assignment obligations.

Do you offer any type of guarantee?

Yes. You want to know that your pet will be cared for just the way you specify. If you are not 100% satisfied with the service that was provided, we will be happy to address your concerns. We believe in lasting client relationships and so our service is only complete when you have returned home and are completely satisfied. We will leave a report card and/or blog updates of all activities that went on during the visit.

Will you walk my dog if it is known to be aggressive with other people and animals. Do you walk or care for Pit Bulls?

We do not care for aggressive animals and/or animals with a history of biting. If you know that your dog will be aggressive when you are not present please do not put our safety or your dog's safety at risk. If your dog will not let us enter the house at any given time we will be unable to complete the services. We currently at this time do not care for Pit Bulls.

Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to deny service to any animal at any time that is unhealthy, overly aggressive, or who may otherwise be a danger to themselves, other animals, or ourselves.

How do I sign up?

To sign up please click on the contact us. We will either send via email or bring all the necessary forms about you, your pet(s), your home that will be needed and we will contact you within 24 hours to schedule a free meet and greet. We will like for you and your pet(s) to get to know us and vice versa so we will all be comfortable when entering your home when you are away at work or on vacation.

Do you offer in home care at your resident?

We can offer only one medium to large dog or two small dogs at a time in our home since we live with two other dogs. This is a nice option for your pet to be in our care for overnight and to socialize with other dogs. Your pet will have the same run of the house and free range of furniture and beds as our dogs do. We consider our dogs part of our family and we treat them as they were our own furry little children. We will offer your furbaby the same love and attention our dogs get. Shadow loves to play chase and ball and tug o war. Marty loves to lay on the sofa and watch TV. And they both LOVE to go for walks. Marty and Shadow are used to visiting "furry cousins" from other family members. Shadow and Marty are current on all their vaccinations and ask that your puppy be up to date as well.

We will visit your home daily or every other day to provide care for your kitties while you are away. We will care for your kitties per your instructions. During each visit, we will provide them with fresh food and water as well as scoop their litter box. During our visit, we can also bring in your mail & newspapers, water your plants, and turn off lights to make your home look "lived-in" at no additional charge. Households with more than 2 kitties & 2 litter boxes will bed charged $2.50 for each additional kitty & litter box. Recommend at least every other day for visits.
