Today, while walking my good friends Buddy, Kaiser and Max for their walks today….

I noticed the more than normal sniffing around and the active moving from spot to spot quickly and marking every spot that they came across.  Have you ever wondered why do dogs sniff when they are outside?    Dogs sniff to see who has been in the area.  If it was a male or female.   Dogs leave their “business card” when they mark a spot.  They are telling their friends or other dogs in the area…”Hey..I was here too…!!”   It could also be a mark of, “Hey this is my spot stop leaving your “business” card here.”

So when a dog is out sniffing around frantically it is there way of reading who or what was in the area.
